The five-episode series, created by Kavithalayaa and hosted by A.R. Rahman as he makes his debut on a video streaming service, explores India’s rich musical heritage through four specially curated instruments and vocal traditions, and re-contextualizes these in modern Indian music culture.  The action on Amazon Prime Video continues this week with the latest and best of entertainment. After a game-changing episode of Alternative Comedy, led by mentor Kenny Sebastian, where the top five contestants made it to the finale week, find out who amongst immensely talented Nishant, Prashasti, Saurav, Rahul and Shankar emerge the winner of the the first season of Prime Original Series Comicstaan.  Additionally, catch the reality drama Prime Original series All or Nothing: Manchester City that showcases the story of the legendary team under the leadership of Coach Pep Guardiola.

Harmony with A.R. Rahman

Harmony with A.R .Rahman is a curated exploration of the past and future of Indian music through the eyes of A. R. Rahman. Through the five episodic series, India’s rich musical heritage is viewed through the prism of four specially curated instruments and vocal traditions, selected in order to represent the geographic and historic diversity of the country. Each episode documents Rahman’s experiences as he travels across India to visit musical maestros to get an in-depth insight into the traditional music forms, their everyday life; practicing and teaching the next generation while igniting soulful conversations and an exciting exchange of ideas! Along with the instruments and musicians, each of the locations where they hail from is explored in detail, as the Prime Exclusive series attempts to transport viewers to the homes of these musical styles.

All of this together results in impromptu musical jam sessions at the end of every episode against the natural background of some of the most beautiful locations in India – Maharashtra, Kerala, Sikkim and Manipur.  To add to this musical odyssey, the finale episode culminates into a grand performance by all four musicians along with the musical genius of A.R. Rahman in an extravagant 17-minute long breath-taking ensemble.

Kadaikutty Singam

Kadaikutty Singam is a story revolving around Gunasingam, a family-loving farmer who hails from a small town and tries his best to keep his big family united despite him being misunderstood by many. Produced by Suriya and directed by Pandiraj, the film stars Tamil cinema superstars Karthi, Sathyaraj and Sayyeshaa Saigal in the lead.

Justice League

Raazi

Set in 1971, when the winds of war were blowing between India and Pakistan, ‘Raazi’ – an adaptation of Harinder Sikka’s novel “Calling Sehmat” – is a true-life story involving a 20-year-old Kashmiri girl.

The Ghazi Attack

Inspired by true events, The Ghazi Attack is India’s first underwater war film. The story revolves around the events that unfolded right before the Indo-Pakistan war of 1971, when the Pakistani Submarine Ghazi (Asia’s most powerful fast-attack submarine at the time) attempted to destroy the Indian aircraft carrier Vikrant.

Newton

As India, the world’s largest democracy braces itself for another general election – with 9 million polling booths, more than 800 million voters, and costing nearly $5 billion — Newton Kumar, a rookie government clerk finds himself entrusted with a task that appears deceptively simple: conducting elections in a remote village in the jungles of central India.

Kabir Khan, the ex-Indian Captain has now come back as the Coach of the Women’s National Hockey team. A rag-tag bunch of girls who have forgotten what it is like to play for the love of the game. Chak De, India! is the story of a coach’s fight of making his team, Team India by overcoming their diverse backgrounds, by learning to use everything that life hurls on them as a secret weapon.

Lakshya

This is a story that talks about a young lazy boy, Karan Shergill, who has no aim in life and later transforms himself into a responsible army officer. The movie depicts Karan’s true dedication towards his goal because of his love, Romi. The lovers meet again in Kargil where Karan is at war. Will the two re-unite again?

Sarabjit

Biopic of Sarabjit Singh, a farmer residing at Bhikiwind, Punjab, near the Indo-Pak border, crossed the border after having a couple of drinks. However, he was mistaken to be an Indian spy and was sentenced to capital punishment.
