Movie Review: Aiyaary

Aiyaary seems to be a ‘Catch Me If You Can’ kind of thriller where you can expect tense moments, curosity and Mental rush. The drama sweeps from the broadways of Delhi to the technoscapes of London, with interludes in Kashmir and Cairo.

Neeraj Pandey’s continues his trend of making films that questions government authorities and their practices,by conciving the idea of making film on Aiyaar in Indian Army,The script screams and tells the dizzying heights of corruption in different places.

This movie has a strong character actors, with no one’s surprise, the always reliable Manoj Bajpayee. He gives another compelling turn as a steadfast officer bound by duty. He is the backbone of the film and is believed as a man capable of going to great lengths to complete the task at hand.

On the other side the professional actor Sidharth Malhotra spreads his charm. He plays a disgruntled Intelligence-operative eho becomes disillusion from his own unit in order to bring to justice in the system. He brings a methodical, calm and collected demeanor act as Jai Bakshi, and is suitably convincing as a soldier whose skills put him one step ahead of his superiors.

Rakul Preet Singh as Sonia Gupta brings a lot of grace to her role as Jai’s love interest. They have a beautiful love story. Actress Rakul Preet Singh, enjoys decent screen time, is entrusted with cool hacking skills, she flaunts by breaking into Sidharth’s bank account and ordering a dress for herself.

Pooja Chopra as Maya showcases her potential as a loyalist to Abhay Singh. Among the Neeraj Pandey favorites – Anupam Kher as Tariq Ali has a very short presence. Although Naseeruddin Shah’s Baburao charector is relevant at a crucial point, which comes a little too late in the film.

Its an incredible movie to watch with family, you can have a powerfull packed experience. Three songs in the film composed by Rochak Kohli and Ankit Tiwari, penned by Manoj Muntashir and sung by Sunidhi Chauhan, Palak Munchal, Amit Mishra, Neha Bhasin, Rochak Kohli and Ankit Tiwari adds sugar to the coffee.
